Letter from Clara Barton to Fitzroy Sessions

In this four page handwritten letter, dated July 16, 1906, Clara Barton expresses regrets at not having visited Fitzroy Sessions during her recent trip through Iowa. Mr. Sessions was a Cedar Falls resident, a Civil War veteran, and a cousin of Clara Barton. Miss Barton talks about her busy schedule and her continued good health. The provenance of this letter and the date at which it was added to the University Archives are unknown. It has been in the collection since at least 1974.

Letter from John Ruskin

This is a three page handwritten letter from John Ruskin to a Mr. Smith. It is dated Easter Monday, 1864. In the letter, Ruskin discusses the disposition of some drawings.
